Daniel Shanahan is an associate professor of Music Theory and Cognition at Northwestern University, where he co-directs the Music Cognition Lab. He has more than fifty publications, and is the editor of the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Music and Corpus Studies, and is currently working on a monograph tentatively titled Networks of Musical Knowledge.
